03/01/04 OVD Scottish Cup 3rd round replay Kelty v Royal Albert

A very slippery surface had the players from both side slipping and sliding. Kelty had the best of the first half without really forcing a save from the Albert keeper. Kelty's best chance came after they broke down the left and cutting inside on the edge of the box  the player was brought down with the referee pointing to the spot.  The resulting spot kick taken by Dean Walker struck the crossbar and bounced down with the keeper scrambling to recover the ball.

The second period started as the first finished with Kelty having the upper hand. On 52nd minute Kelty were unlucky not to get the breakthrough when Adam Moffat's  35 yard driven shot hit the post. 55minute mark and Kelty were reduced to 10 men when defender Scott Reid slid across the slippery surface catching the Royal Albert winger. 60 minute mark and a break from from Albert found the ball bouncing in the Kelty area only to be deflected to Albert forward McLenaghan who shot home from six yards. Kelty pushed forward trying hard to get level. Albert were down to ten men with 20 minutes to go after James Crum was sent off.
