Linlithgow looking good to go close in the Super League Championship.
Rosy secured the 3 points comfortably this afternoon with a 0-3 victory. In 14 minutes an Anthony cross was hit home from close in by Gibb. Linlithgow increased their lead in 21 minutes when McLennan sent over a searching cross which was knocked goa lbound by Anthony. In 31 minutes Kelty came close skimming the crossbar with a shot from the right. Another searching cross from Kelty in 43 minutes only needed a touch to close the gap as it was sent away for a corner. In 57 minutes Linlithgow sealed the win with a corner from the right which connected with the head of Ian Gallacher leaving the Kelty keeper rooted to the spot. Roddy Grant came close to another with a header off the crossbar for Linlithgow. In 77 minutes a Kelty 25 yard effort was palmed away for a corner. The Super League could go down to the wire with Tayport still to play Linlithgow in what could be a league decider. |
Two goals by Alan Aitken gave Rosyth a relatively
comfortable win at Kirkcaldy this afternoon. Both sides were well
short of full strength and Kirkcaldy's cause was not helped early in
the second half when they had a player dismissed for two yellow cards
collected for firstly a bad tackle and then adopting an agressive
manner following the tackle.

Pat
McAuley got Lochore off to a great start in his first match in charge.
Working along with George Shields his new assistant, he led the
Welfare to a 4-1 victory over the third placed Bluebell. Early strikes
from Stuart Jaffa and Colin Burke had Lochore on easy street although
an Andy Kinnell own goal did give Dundonald some hope before the
break. Colin Burke made it 3-1 when he scored his second goal of the match and Gary Sutherland completed the scoring when he made it 4-1 with his 15th strike of the season. Lochore team : Crowe, Bishop, R.Kinnell, Duncan, A. Kinnell, Moody, Shankland, Hodge, Sutherland, Burke, Jaffa. Subs: Currie, Grieve, Shields and Dudgeon. Many Thanks to Tam Graham for match report. |
